Lilia C. de Jesus holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Fine Arts, majoring in Interior Design from the University of Santo Tomas. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Art Education and Doctorate Degree in Educational Psychology from the University of the Philippines.

Lilia currently chairs the Technical Committee for Interior Design, as well as heads the newly formed Interior Design program of Enderun Colleges under the College of Architecture and Design.

Currently, she also teaches at the Graduate School of UST under the program Curriculum and Instruction. Lilia also runs research funded by the Research Center for Culture and the Arts (RCCAH), with a specific focus to advance the multidisciplinary aspect of interior design both as a program and practice.

Lilia was also elected as the President of the Council of Interior Design Educators for four terms. Between 2017 to 2019, she was the president of the national professional organization of Interior Designers.

At the same time, Lilia has gained global recognition when she was elected as Board Member in the International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers (IFI), headquartered in New York, between 2015 to 2017. Now, she is a conferred fellow of IFI, granted last February 2022. She is also a current Board Member of the Asia Pacific Space Designers Association (APSDA) in Malaysia.
